This is an Press Photo, dated January 11, 1944, stamped by the French, while still under German control. It is from a French News Service of Rommel inspecting the Atlantic Wall defenses against the anticipated invasion to come a few months later. This is a large photo - It was a 13 cm x 18 cm, but someone trimmed most of the white border off the photo. They didn't trim it all off.
