WAR TIME SIGNED HOFFMANN POST CARD OF GROßADMIRAL DÖNITZ
Product Description

This is a postally used, war time signed Hoffmann post card of Dönitz. It is glued to a piece of heavy black paper, and the former collector put the dates he won his Knight's Cross, and Oak Leaves. You can see the cancellation mark slightly protruding from the back. That is how I KNOW it was postally used. Perhaps somebody with skill & knowledge can remove the black paper, but to tell the truth, I like it. The over-all size is approx. 6" x 8", or approx. 15 cm x 21 cm. The signature is hard to scan, because of the color pencil he used to sign the post card. However, the signature is DEEP & STRONG. Another indication that Dönitz was younger when he signed it. I have enhanced the signature the best I could, to your left. It really is a very nice signature, not at all like the ones 30 years later - like I am also selling.
