This medal was created, signed and dated by the artist Jose de Moura to commemorate the Battle of Lalys which occured in 1918. The medal was created on the 60th Anniversary of the Battle - in 1978. Look to your left to see his signature & date. This medal is VERY LARGE (approx. 90 mm) And VERY HEAVY- being made out of solid Bronze.
